Lunch and coffee hotspots in Amsterdam

Before I start writing about my favorite lunch and coffee places in Amsterdam, I have to say that this is gonna be a bit long post since I have spent 3 days in Amsterdam visiting really yummy hotspots and I want to share all of them with you.
First of all, I want to highlight that Amsterdam in July is absolutely amazing (in general it is always beautiful, but the sunny weather shows the best of the city). I went to walk around the canals and enjoy the views during the 3 days and it was a great experience! So, if you have a chance to visit Amsterdam during summer, don’t think two times, just do it!

During this trip I’ve decided to discover some cool hotspots for lunch and coffee, and since I like to have some healthy food, this kind of places were my priority. I was very happy to discover that in de Pijp neighborhood there were a lot of cool places, and after having a lunch you could easily find a cute coffee place.
Here goes my list, the number 1, my favorite, The Meets.
1. The Meets – Cornelis Troostplein 3
This place offers absolutely amazing selection of healthy food. The staff is very nice, (very important in Amsterdam). The decoration of the place is so cute, you will want to go and stay there the whole day. unfortunately I had to leave soon, but I saw a lot of people staying there after the lunch and work with leptops.
2. SLA – Ceintuurbaan 149, and 2 more locations

This place is very famous because of the yummy salads. You can make your own salad with several ingredients, or you can choose any salad from their manu. There are several SLA-s in the city. I went to the one in de Pijp.

3. Cafe Brix – Wolvenstraat 1,  de 9 straatjes

I found this cute place during my first trip in Amsterdam, but I only had a coffee, so this time I decided to have a lunch and to discover if the food was good or not. The truth is that I loved the food, you have a big variety. The place is in the center of Amsterdam, in de 9 straatjes, and you can have a lunch or dinner or just coffee and you will love it.

4. Lavinia – Kerkstraat 176

Super close to Museumplein, if you want to have a good lunch after visiting the Amsterdam sign/ Rijks Museum or Van Gogh Museum this place is the best. It’s a small cute decorated place with a very healthy food. They even had a super healthy pizza besides of tipical sandwiches, soups and salads. The girls were lovely and I loved to stay there for my lunch break.

5. Coffee & Coconuts – Ceintuurbaan 282-284, de Pijp

This huge coffee places is so amazing because of it’s design and a big space that you definitely should visit it. It’s almost in front of SLA, so you can have a lunch there and then have a drink in Coffee and Coconuts. It’s a perfect place to hang out with friends or to have a coffee break after walking around the Pijp neighborhood. If you drop by make sure you don’t get lost inside because it’s really big (3 floors).

6. Scandinavian Embassy – Sarphatipark 3

I have only one picture from this coffee place, but if I have to choose one word to describe it, it would be “cute”. It’s a small place (big enough to have a coffe and to hang out with friends) with a lot of homemade cakes and good coffee. Also, you can discover some scandinavian fashion brands that use this space as kind of showroom. I really loved the place (maybe it’s my favorite one) and I definitely recommend it.
