1995’s pink Pontiac
Even though this is an outfit post, these pictures were taken during our Cuba trip in the most touristic ambience possible. When in Havana, we, obviously, did a vintage car tour around the city, and after the tour we spent quite a lot of time shooting these images. Usually, the vintage cars for city tours are parked in front of the Hotel Inglaterra. There is a big selection of cars, and the possibility that you'll get crazy choosing the ONE. It's a cliché that girls always take pink cars, and even though I fell in love with every single color, mine had to be pink too (next time I'll take red one). So here is my 1955's pink Pontiac, a very pretty car, which I almost took to Paris.
Discovering Trinidad & Cienfuegos
After staying first five days in Havana, we decided to visit Trinidad and Cienfuegos. Instead of going directly to Trinidad, we wanted to visit la Finca Vigia, where Ernest Hemingway used to live, and the city of Santa Clara. In this case the best option was to hire the driver, as the bus does not make this complicated route. Our driver, Jorge, was the loveliest man. He made us the tour for very reasonable price of 180 CUC (finally we paid him 190, as he was very nice to us). First we visited La Finca Vigia (just 20 minutes away from Havana) but unfortunately it was closed for some renovations works. After we drove to Santa Clara and made a stop at Che Guevara Museum (It's a quick stop, no need of more than half an hour to see everything). Afterwards we went to have a lunch at the famous restaurant La Casona Guevara (one of the best in Santa Clara), and then we took 3 hours to walk around the center of the city. We were quite surprised as it is very different from Havana. It's full of young people (apparently because there are many universities). The architecture was similar, but buildings are lower. We also visited the beautiful theatre La Caridad, which is a national monument of Cuba. It was built in 19th century and it is one of the few remaining colonial theatres in Cuba. The visit costs only 1CUC and it's totally worth it.
Under the sun of Havana
Today I want to share with you one of the outfits I wore in Havana. Before going to Cuba, I tried to select some colourful clothes to combine them with the surroundings. As you know, Havana and the rest of Cuba is full of beautiful colonial buildings painted in different colours. For those who love to take pictures in front of colourful doors and walls, it's a pure paradise. Of course, I did some of them too, but today I'm gonna show you the pictures we took on the rooftop of our last Airbnb, which turned out to be a beautiful boutique hotel Animas 303. From this terrace you could enjoy some amazing views of Havana, including El Capitolio.
Havana, mi amor
Havana
I'm very excited about this post, since visiting Cuba was, probably, one of the best decision of my life. When Sebastian told me he wanted to go for two weeks, to enjoy the country and shoot some beautiful tile floors, the first thing I felt was the fear. I did not know Cuba and my opinion about the country was completely different from what is it now. I could not avoid to think about practical things. I was afraid of everything and I had my doubts if I should go or not. From today's perspective, I can assure you, Cuba is one of the best destinations I have ever visited. First of all, it is such an unique country! You can't find anywhere else what you'll see in Cuba. It's like traveling in time. The beautiful architecture, old vintage cars and music everywhere will make this experience absolutely unforgettable. I have never seen so many beautiful buildings together in my entire life.New shades of Givenchy beauty
As you already might know, Givenchy beauty is one of my favourite makeup brands. I'm very happy with every product I've had and I even got some more for this fall. Today I want to show you some of my
Ibiza – my new love
Cold days are approaching, but my mind is still in summer, thinking about beautiful beaches and turquoise water. If you followed my summer on my Instagram account, you probably know that I spent several days in Ibiza and I had absolutely delightful time. Sounds tacky but it's true. We arrived on 14th of July, and of course, it was right in high season. One thing you should know about Ibiza: in July and August it's very expensive. Get ready to spend quite a lot of money as there is a lot of demand for hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs, etc. Make sure you book a table for lunch and dinner in advance.
Dépôt Légal
There's a new hotspot in my beloved area around Palais-Royal and it's called Dépôt Légal. Right at the corner of Rue Vivienne and Rue des Petit-Champs, in the busy neighbourhood of Palais Royal, lies Christophe Adam's (l'éclair de génie) latest creation. A café that offers a bit more than just coffee. I passed by this place 2 or 3 times before the construction was finished trying to get a peek inside and figuring out what is gonna come next to one of my beloved areas in Paris. Once they opened, I let the usually busy and hectic opening days pass and decided to check it out a few weeks later.
Brittany at it’s best – Hotel Castelbrac in Dinard
As promised here is the second part of our 3 day road-trip through Normandy and Brittany. After having spent a beautiful day in Deauville at Les Manoirs de Tourgeville, we started our day off with a quick walk at the beach of Deauville to take some pictures with the cute umbrellas and to find a place to have lunch. Taking pictures took a bit longer than anticipated so we opted for a quick crêpes at the beachfront. Full of energy and very excited to explore our second destination we headed towards the beautiful beach town Dinard in Brittany. Our excitement was mainly due to the fact that we couldn't wait to check out our hotel. We were very lucky to have secured one of the last rooms for this day at the stunning 5* Hotel Castelbrac right at the sea front in Dinard. When found it online and made our booking we were already very excited after having seen all the pictures, but we were definitely not prepared for this experience.
Weekend Getaway at Les Manoirs de Tourgeville
Last weekend I visited Normandy for the very first time. I really wanted to explore the famous beach of Deauville with it's beautiful colourful umbrellas and Les Planches (changing cabins, each of them with Hollywood actors's name on it who participated in the Deauville American Cinema Festival). In the center of the city there are many interesting boutiques, so it's very easy to spend time and money on shopping there. In general, I liked Deauville, it's a perfect place if you like horses races and casinos. Maybe a little too much for me :). In the evening,we decided not to stay in Deauville but rather in a small town a few minutes away from Deauville and the main reason for this, is that we found a beautiful and calm hotel in Tourgeville - Les Manoirs de Tourgeville. It is very beautiful, everything around is very green and you can really feel the spirit of Normandy.
An elegant simplicity
I just had a look on my latest posts, and I see a lot of complaining about the weather. So today I'm not gonna say a word, but I truly hope this is the last outfit in the next 2 months with a trench or any kind of outwear. Now, I have to be honest, I took these pictures almost 1 month ago, but I could wear the same clothes today and it's 8th of June.
