Cold days are approaching, but my mind is still in summer, thinking about beautiful beaches and turquoise water. If you followed my summer on my Instagram account, you probably know that I spent several days in Ibiza and I had absolutely delightful time. Sounds tacky but it's true. We arrived on 14th of July, and of course, it was right in high season. One thing you should know about Ibiza: in July and August it's very expensive. Get ready to spend quite a lot of money as there is a lot of demand for hotels, restaurants, bars, clubs, etc. Make sure you book a table for lunch and dinner in advance.
There's a new hotspot in my beloved area around Palais-Royal and it's called Dépôt Légal. Right at the corner of Rue Vivienne and Rue des Petit-Champs, in the busy neighbourhood of Palais Royal, lies Christophe Adam's (l'éclair de génie) latest creation. A café that offers a bit more than just coffee. I passed by this place 2 or 3 times before the construction was finished trying to get a peek inside and figuring out what is gonna come next to one of my beloved areas in Paris. Once they opened, I let the usually busy and hectic opening days pass and decided to check it out a few weeks later.
As promised here is the second part of our 3 day road-trip through Normandy and Brittany. After having spent a beautiful day in Deauville at Les Manoirs de Tourgeville, we started our day off with a quick walk at the beach of Deauville to take some pictures with the cute umbrellas and to find a place to have lunch. Taking pictures took a bit longer than anticipated so we opted for a quick crêpes at the beachfront. Full of energy and very excited to explore our second destination we headed towards the beautiful beach town Dinard in Brittany. Our excitement was mainly due to the fact that we couldn't wait to check out our hotel. We were very lucky to have secured one of the last rooms for this day at the stunning 5* Hotel Castelbrac right at the sea front in Dinard. When found it online and made our booking we were already very excited after having seen all the pictures, but we were definitely not prepared for this experience.
Last weekend I visited Normandy for the very first time. I really wanted to explore the famous beach of Deauville with it's beautiful colourful umbrellas and Les Planches (changing cabins, each of them with Hollywood actors's name on it who participated in the Deauville American Cinema Festival). In the center of the city there are many interesting boutiques, so it's very easy to spend time and money on shopping there. In general, I liked Deauville, it's a perfect place if you like horses races and casinos. Maybe a little too much for me :). In the evening,we decided not to stay in Deauville but rather in a small town a few minutes away from Deauville and the main reason for this, is that we found a beautiful and calm hotel in Tourgeville - Les Manoirs de Tourgeville. It is very beautiful, everything around is very green and you can really feel the spirit of Normandy.
I just had a look on my latest posts, and I see a lot of complaining about the weather. So today I'm not gonna say a word, but I truly hope this is the last outfit in the next 2 months with a trench or any kind of outwear. Now, I have to be honest, I took these pictures almost 1 month ago, but I could wear the same clothes today and it's 8th of June.
It's been a long time that I wanted to share my favourite spots in Paris with you. This will be the start of a new series, where I will regularly post some of my favourite spots, be it coffee places, restaurants or just nice locations to discover in the city. Today I'll start off the series with with my favourite places to have a coffee in the Marais.
I'm truly honoured and excited to present you my new collaboration with Van Cleef & Arpels. A Paris based jewelry brand, famous for its unique designs, that was founded in 1906. Their historical shop in the center of the city, at 22 Place Vendôme, is almost a must visit place if you love high jewelry. When I got a proposition to collaborate with them I felt immensely flattered! They reason why they chose me, was that they wanted the real girls to represent the new collection named Frivole. Obviously, I did not think twice and I accepted. Since then my Cinderella story started.
A few weeks ago I went to Milano to attend my first ever Milan Design Week. For those who don't not know the concept, it's like fashion week, but instead of clothes, brands present furniture and objects in their respective showrooms. Some of these objects easily could be considered pieces of art. Milan Design Week is an annual event, and it's world's largest one of it's kind. It's an amazing opportunity to discover young artists and getting inspired by all the latest creations in furniture and design.
Last weekend, during one of those rare sunny days in Paris, I decided to have a walk through the city with my boyfriend. Naturally I went to one of my favourite spots in Paris: Ile Saint Louis. I love crossing the bridge from Île de la Cité, finding a sunny place, sitting down along the Seine and contemplating the back view of the magnificent Notre Dame. Usually, I always shoot pictures the way you can see the cathedral behind me, but this time I decided to show you Ile Saint Louis in the background: cream white colour old houses, where you can find some really beautiful apartments, very old shops and some restaurants.
