Brittany at it’s best – Hotel Castelbrac in Dinard

Hotel Castelbrac - Dinard room

As promised here is the second part of our 3 day road-trip through Normandy and Brittany. After having spent a beautiful day in Deauville at Les Manoirs de Tourgeville, we started our day off with a quick walk at the beach of Deauville to take some pictures with the cute umbrellas and to find a place to have lunch. Taking pictures took a bit longer than anticipated so we opted for a quick crêpes at the beachfront. Full of energy and very excited to explore our second destination we headed towards the beautiful beach town Dinard in Brittany.
Our excitement was mainly due to the fact that we couldn’t wait to check out our hotel. We were very lucky to have secured one of the last rooms for this day at the stunning 5* Hotel Castelbrac right at the sea front in Dinard. When found it online and made our booking we were already very excited after having seen all the pictures, but we were definitely not prepared for this experience.

Weekend Getaway at Les Manoirs de Tourgeville

Les Manoirs de Tourgeville

Last weekend I visited Normandy for the very first time. I really wanted to explore the famous beach of Deauville with it’s beautiful colourful umbrellas and Les Planches (changing cabins, each of them with Hollywood actors’s name on it who participated in the Deauville American Cinema Festival). In the center of the city there are many interesting boutiques, so it’s very easy to spend time and money on shopping there. In general, I liked Deauville, it’s a perfect place if you like horses races and casinos. Maybe a little too much for me :).
In the evening,we decided not to stay in Deauville but rather in a small town a few minutes away from Deauville and the main reason for this, is that we found a beautiful and calm hotel in Tourgeville – Les Manoirs de Tourgeville. It is very beautiful, everything around is very green and you can really feel the spirit of Normandy.

Fauna print dress

This summer you’re gonna find a lot of clothes with different flora and fauna motives. The kimono dress I’m wearing today is just one example with its oriental elements and the snow cranes prints (it’s from Zara and I like it especially because it’s midi). Usually, it would be quite rare for me to wear printed outfits in Paris (I always prefer simple lines with touch of elegance), but this time I find them very summery and beautiful. And if the dress was not enough, I matched it with an absolutely gorgeous pair of low-heeled mule sleepers with fuchsia and gold flower print from L’intervalle. I really like these mules, they are very comfortable and combining them with summer outfits is very easy. When I bought them I was hesitating between green and pink ones, but finally I got a pink pair. Maybe this little girl who loved pink when I was a little kid is still inside me . Continue reading…

An elegant simplicity

COS outfit

I just had a look on my latest posts, and I see a lot of complaining about the weather. So today I’m not gonna say a word, but I truly hope this is the last outfit in the next 2 months with a trench or any kind of outwear.
Now, I have to be honest, I took these pictures almost 1 month ago, but I could wear the same clothes today and it’s 8th of June. Continue reading…

Overalls for spring

Busy Panda Overall

They say Spring weather can be unpredictable. In Paris it’s definitely true. The day can start with the sunny warm morning and in the evening it can rain cats and dogs. You’ll agree, it’s not easy to dress up for days like this, and I’m always worried not to get cold. That’s why I was very happy when I discovered this overalls on Busy Panda, almost a forgotten, but very comfortable piece to wear everyday.

Gucci’s Iconic Bamboo Bag

Gucci's Iconic Bamboo Bag

I am not used to wear vintage pieces. Not because I don’t like them (I actually adore them), but mostly because they are quite expensive and out of my budget. That’s why I was more than happy when I discovered this cozy and adorable vintage shop, Lorette & Jasmin, in 16th arrondissement of Paris, 6 rue François Millet. They have many extraordinary pieces and honestly, the prices are quite affordable. Continue reading…

Breath of Spring – Frivole Collection by Van Cleef & Arpels

Van Cleef & Arpels - Frivole Collection

I’m truly honoured and excited to present you my new collaboration with Van Cleef & Arpels. A Paris based jewelry brand, famous for its unique designs, that was founded in 1906. Their historical shop in the center of the city, at 22 Place Vendôme, is almost a must visit place if you love high jewelry.
When I got a proposition to collaborate with them I felt immensely flattered! They reason why they chose me, was that they wanted the real girls to represent the new collection named Frivole. Obviously, I did not think twice and I accepted. Since then my Cinderella story started. Continue reading…
